New Coalition of Creatives, Influencers, and Entertainers Launches Nigerian Digital Media and Public Awareness Initiative (NDMPAI)

Abuja, Nigeria – [23-08-2025]

A powerful new movement has been unveiled at the intersection of governance, media, and civic enlightenment: the Nigerian Digital Media and Public Awareness Initiative (NDMPAI).

Formed as a coalition of social media influencers, content creators, comedians, entertainers, and thought leaders from across the federation, NDMPAI is driven by a singular mission — to promote good governance, amplify government achievements, and translate Nigeria’s complex policies, laws, and regulations into engaging and relatable narratives for the everyday citizen.

In a nation where over 70% of the population is under the age of 35, and where social media has overtaken traditional platforms as the dominant source of information, NDMPAI is positioning itself as the much-needed bridge between leadership and the people. From the bustling streets of Lagos to remote rural communities in the North, the initiative is drawing overwhelming support from grassroots influencers, youth voices, and cultural icons alike.

At the recent Digital Media Summit held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu emphasized the power of digital platforms in shaping governance and national identity.

“We know that social media is a powerful tool in the hands of our young citizens. I urge Nigerians to use it to showcase our values, to sell Nigeria to the world in a positive light, and to drive unity rather than division,” the President declared.

NDMPAI’s agenda is in alignment with this vision, as it seeks not only to inform and enlighten but also to drive economic growth. The movement has set an ambitious target of creating 20,000 jobs for Nigerians by 2027 through opportunities in digital media, content creation, political communication, and grassroots mobilization.

Since its inception, NDMPAI has already witnessed unprecedented turnout and enthusiasm across the states. Influencers and creatives from diverse sectors — entertainment, comedy, education, activism, lifestyle, and business — are rallying behind the initiative. This momentum underscores one fact: Nigeria’s new media revolution is no longer emerging, it is here.

The social media space is no longer merely a platform for trends or chatter; it has become the nation’s most powerful public square, surpassing traditional media in both reach and influence. With NDMPAI at the forefront, this digital force is now being structured, organized, and mobilized to enlighten, empower, and elevate Nigeria’s democratic journey.
