We Will Defeat Terrorism and Move Forward” — Tinubu Vows After FEC Briefing

 

Abuja, Nigeria — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s determination to defeat terrorism, strengthen national security, and sustain economic recovery under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Speaking at the State House in Abuja shortly after an economic briefing by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, the President said the federal government will not relent in addressing Nigeria’s complex security and economic challenges.

According to Mr. Edun, the reform policies introduced by the administration continue to boost investor confidence and stimulate measurable growth across key sectors.

President Tinubu, while reacting to the briefing, noted that the government remains “firmly committed to moving the country forward under the Renewed Hope Agenda, despite prevailing political and security pressures.”

He acknowledged the gravity of the nation’s current challenges but expressed optimism that consistent policy implementation and global partnerships would produce lasting solutions.

“Nigeria will not bow to the forces of terror, instability, or fear,” the President said.
“Our mission is clear — to secure the lives of our people, restore full economic confidence, and make governance work for every Nigerian.”

The President emphasized that Nigeria’s security agencies are being further equipped and coordinated to ensure that terrorists, bandits, and other criminal networks are permanently dismantled.

He also assured citizens that his administration’s reforms in fiscal management, monetary policy, and infrastructure investment are laying the foundation for sustainable growth.

Tinubu added that Nigeria’s position on global cooperation remains strong, and that his government will continue to deepen engagement with international partners to strengthen defense, trade, and innovation.
